Data Recovery for Failed Drives
and Deleted Files

Failed SSDs. Clicking hard drives. Phones in lake water. Deleted folders you needed back yesterday. We recover what most shops won't touch - with a fixed quote up front and no recovery fee if we can't pull your files.

What we recover

Most failures look catastrophic but aren't. If your drive spins, mounts intermittently, or shows up under a different name, your data is usually still there.

Mechanical hard drive failure

Clicking, grinding, or drives that won't spin up. We diagnose the failure mode, source matching donor parts, and image the platters at the block level.

SSD & NVMe controller failures

"Drive not detected," sudden capacity drops to 0, or read-only fault states. Chip-off and controller-level recovery for Samsung, WD, Crucial, Sandisk.

Liquid & impact damage

Phones, laptops, and external drives that took a fall or a swim. We clean, stabilize, and image the storage chip before the corrosion progresses.

Accidental deletion & formats

Emptied trash, formatted SD card, lost partition table. The data is still on the media until something overwrites it — stop using the device and bring it in.

Ransomware & corruption

Encrypted files from a ransomware hit, or filesystem corruption after a bad shutdown. We work from a forensic image so the original media stays untouched.

RAID, NAS & server arrays

Degraded RAID 1/5/6/10 arrays, missing parity, swapped drive order. We rebuild the array virtually before reading a single block from your drives.

Our process

A methodical, audited workflow. You get a fixed price before any recovery work begins.

  1. Intake & diagnostic

Drop off or ship in. We log the device into chain-of-custody, run non-destructive diagnostics, and identify the failure class within 24–72 hours.

  2. Fixed-fee quote

You get a written quote with a flat price, an estimated success likelihood, and a target completion date. You decide whether to proceed. No quote, no obligation.

  3. Recovery & verification

We image at the lowest possible level, reconstruct the file system, and verify every recovered file opens cleanly. The original media is never written to.

  4. Delivery on your media

Recovered data is delivered on an encrypted external drive or to a destination of your choice. Our working copies are securely wiped after delivery is confirmed.

Service tiers

Pricing depends on the failure class, not the urgency of your panic. All tiers include the same chain-of-custody, the same verification step, and the same "no data, no recovery fee" guarantee.

Standard

from $199

Logical recoveries: deleted files, formatted drives, lost partitions, corrupted filesystems.

  • Diagnostic assessment
  • Fixed quote before work begins
  • 3–5 business day turnaround
  • Delivery on your media

Critical

quoted

RAID arrays, NAS volumes, server storage, severe physical damage, multi-drive failures.

  • Everything in Advanced
  • Multi-drive forensic imaging
  • Priority queue available
  • Custom turnaround & NDA on request

No data, no recovery fee

If we accept your recovery job and can't recover the files in your quote, you don't pay the recovery fee. Diagnostic, donor-part, or rush terms are confirmed up front.

Chain of custody

Every device is logged in, photographed, and tracked from intake to delivery. You'll know where your drive is at every step.

Read-only by default

We work from a forensic image. Your original media is never written to, so a failed recovery never makes things worse.

Encrypted delivery

Recovered data is returned on an encrypted drive. Our working copies are securely wiped within 14 days of pickup.

Common questions

How much does data recovery cost?
Most logical recoveries (deleted files, formatted drives) land in the $199–$349 range. Mechanical and water-damage recoveries are typically $449–$899 depending on parts and complexity. You get a fixed written quote before any paid work starts.
What does "no data, no recovery fee" actually mean?
If we accept your job and fail to recover the files you specified in your quote, you don't pay the recovery fee. Any diagnostic, donor-part, or rush terms are confirmed in writing before work proceeds. This applies to standard and advanced tiers; critical / RAID work is quoted with its own terms in writing.
How long does it take?
Diagnostic and quote: 24–72 hours after intake. Standard recovery: 3–5 business days. Advanced (mechanical, donor parts): 5–7 business days. RAID and critical work is custom-scheduled. Rush turnaround is available on advanced and critical tiers.
Will you see my files?
Only what's needed to verify the recovery worked. We don't browse personal content. If your data is sensitive (legal, medical, financial), ask about our NDA — we sign one before intake at no extra cost.
The drive makes a clicking noise. Should I keep trying it?
No. Power it down and bring it in. Clicking is mechanical damage progressing in real time — every power-on cycle reduces the chance of a clean recovery.
